Cambodian golden silk comes from the indigenous Bombyx mori strain fed on local mulberry, giving a warm yellow filament. Dyes come from prohut bark (yellow), lac insect (red), indigo, and ebony fruit (black), often layered across five or more tie-and-dye passes.
